The iconic bridge over the Mobile River on I-65 is one of three high-rise bridges under repair on this long causeway crossing the Mobile Delta rivers and lakes. In order to keep our infrastructure in top-notch shape, the Alabama Department of Transportation awarded Scott Bridge Company, Inc. the contract to replace connections and bearing pads and to paint the steel portions of the bridge substructures. Working in this austere environment posed some unique challenges as well.
